Fish Anything

Fish Anything

(A salute to the fight to get back to the river)
Every generation has its anthem. For Woolbert, it’s the sound of a reel screaming and a river rising. When life, work, and the world start to drown out that rhythm, he does what every die-hard angler dreams of — he grabs his rod, wades back into the current, and holds his passion high for all to see.

Just like that Say Anything moment from the 80s, this is Woolbert’s boombox scene — but instead of music, he’s lifting a trophy brown trout to the sky, calling back to the only thing that ever really made sense: the river. It’s his declaration of love to the sport that never stopped calling his name.

Because that’s what Woolly Hookers Fly Co. stands for — chasing the thing that grounds you, the thing that heals you, the thing you can’t live without. It’s a tribute to every fisherman who’s ever stood waist-deep in cold water, grinning like a fool, knowing they’re right where they belong.

Artist’s Note: This piece is personal. It’s my nod to the 1980s — the music, the movies, and that moment when John Cusack held up the boombox in Say Anything. Fish Anything is my version of that — Woolbert’s declaration of passion to the river. I designed this art to capture that same feeling of devotion and rebellion — the moment when you finally stop chasing approval and start chasing what feeds your soul.
